LONGEVITY TIPS
- If replacing a halogen bulb, do not touch glass
portion with your fingers. Handle it by the plastic base only and do not
remove the protective sleeve until the bulb is actually used. Oil or
perspiration from your fingers can cause the glass portion to heat up; the lamp
will then burn out early. If the glass envelope is accidentally touched, clean
the fingerprints off with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Remove
burned-out bulb immediately before replacing it so inside of headlamp body is
not contaminated with dust and moisture.
- If towing a trailer with lights, do not attach them
directly to your vehicle's lighting system. The extra lights cause a
greater current load and require heavy duty turn signal
flashers and additional
relays.
